KIRKLEES (April 23, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – DEKA, the decathlon of functional fitness from the creators of Spartan™, is proud to welcome Kirklees Active Leisure (KAL) to its expanding affiliate network. As a not-for-profit operator of leisure facilities across the Kirklees area, KAL will officially join the DEKA community in April 2025, bringing the total number of DEKA UK affiliates to over 60 partners. This partnership marks a significant step in the shared mission to make fitness more accessible, inclusive, and celebrated—empowering more people to move with purpose and embrace a healthier lifestyle.

DEKA offers a gamified training and testing system designed to provide a standardized and inclusive fitness competition for individuals of all levels. Focusing on ten functional fitness zones that test strength, endurance, and overall fitness, DEKA events are hosted in both large arenas and by affiliate partners in gyms and fitness facilities.

Beyond a functional fitness event, DEKA is a lifestyle movement. It fosters a variety of inspiring events and competitions with its vibrant heart found in over 1,000 gyms and fitness facilities worldwide. DEKA classes are increasingly integrated into gym programming globally, and weekends come alive with the energy of competition, where medals await all those who embrace the #CelebratingFitness spirit. Each finisher proudly wears their medal, a testament to their achievement and the personal journey that brought them to the start line.

KAL’s decision to become a DEKA affiliate reflects a strategic commitment to enhancing its customer offering. The events will be located across four of their sites including Huddersfield Leisure Centre, Batley Sports & Tennis Centre, Spen Valley Leisure Centre and Colne Valley Leisure Centre with dates and event details available on the DEKA website.
