BOSTON, Mass. These organizations provide programming to children focused on one or more of the Finish Strong Foundation’s mission elements: physical fitness, education and social-emotional learning. The Fall 2024 class of grant recipients includes:

  • ThinkGive, Inc.
  • MAXCourage (The Max Warburg Courage Curriculum)
  • Arts for Learning Massachusetts
  • School on Wheels of Massachusetts, Inc
  • Trinity Boston Connects
  • Shaloh House
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters Central MA

  • Berkshire HorseWorks, Inc.

This is the second round of selections for the grant program, launched just last year. In the spring of 2024, the foundation provided over $20,000 to seven nonprofits. “We’ve seen such a great response to our grant program, with more than double the number of applications submitted this fall compared to the spring,” said Laurita Kaigler-Crawlle, executive director of the Finish Strong Foundation. “The grant program really showcases a fact that we know: we are not alone in the work of impacting children in our communities. Finish Strong Grants make that mission a group effort, and there is power in numbers!”

Applicants are able to request up to $5,000 to support programming. The foundation prioritizes organizations headquartered in New England or with significant impact in the New England region. Priority is also given to geographic areas with low reading scores and high poverty levels.
