Dave McGillivray and Finish Strong Foundation Mark 2024 Wins

Endurance sports leader and his nonprofit celebrate key highlights from the past year

BOSTON, Mass. (March 12,2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Dave McGillivray and his nonprofit the Finish Strong Foundation made strides in 2024. Individually and as an organization, the two have shared a recap of key happenings from this past year, including the growth of their scope, accolades and impact.

McGillivray’s personal pursuits held milestones on and off the race course. In the realm of running and triathlon, McGillivray celebrated completing his 52nd-consecutive B.A.A. Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America and is currently training for his 53rd. He also completed his 10th IRONMAN World Championship and reached the milestone of 170 full marathons.

As a motivational speaker, McGillivray presented to audiences as large as 2,000 people at events like the Boston Marathon expo, the Run Show, Merrimack College’s commencement, the annual Road Race Management meeting and various corporate meetings and conferences.

McGillivray’s nonprofit, the Finish Strong Foundation, marked a year of major growth in 2024. Most notably, the foundation welcomed a new Executive Director, Laurita Kaigler-Crawlle.

Their Finish Strong Grant program awarded close to $50,0000 in grants to 16 mission-aligned nonprofit organizations in New England. The foundation welcomed over 50 runners to Team Finish Strong to run in the LA BIG 5K, the Boston Marathon, the ASICS Falmouth Road Race and the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Together, they raised over $260,000 for the foundation.
