Cotopaxi and Intrepid Travel Unite to Champion Responsible Adventures

September 12, 2024

BCorp trailblazers come together to spark inspiring journeys, deep cultural connections, and an Explore for Good mindset.

Salt Lake City, UT. (September 12, 2024)/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Certified B Corporation™ and impact-driven adventure lifestyle brand, Cotopaxi, and BCorp adventure travel brand, Intrepid Travel are proud to align on a brand campaign to promote responsible travel, aligning with Cotopaxi’s brand ethos to “See the World and Make it Better.”

The Cotopaxi x Intrepid Travel collaboration takes flight with an omni-channel approach to inspiring adventure with exciting giveaways, inspirational content series and ambassador highlights and impact-driven incentives. Roughly three-quarters of millennials and Gen Zers (78% and 70% respectively*) would choose to spend money on an experience or event over possessions (*Eventbrite and Goldman Sachs), pinpointing the crux of Intrepid Travel and Cotopaxi’s combined mission and commitment to promoting responsible travel and sustainably crafted gear.

The collaborative responsible travel campaign manifests through a series of social and online stories from Cotopaxi DO GOOD Ambassadors Mario Ordoñez-Calderón (a Navy veteran, Indigenous Mayan and outdoor enthusiast) and Hanna Ball, an Nutritionist MSCN. It also includes stories about content creators Becky Nesel (a geologist) and Rick Southers (a travel photographer). All four traveled to Slovenia with Intrepid Travel and Cotopaxi to capture the four pillars of the campaign – Responsible Travel, Personal Growth, Cultural Exchange and Social Connection.

“When we think about bringing to life the Cotopaxi ethos to see the world and make it better, there is no better partner than fellow BCorp brand, Intrepid Travel”, said Cotopaxi’s Chief Brand Officer, Brad Hiranaga. “This alignment transcends partnership and really allows people to think holistically about their approach to responsible travel, from the products they use to the communities they visit. We’re thrilled to announce this collaboration and to inspire others to Explore for Good.”

Throughout October, Cotopaxi will host a giveaway where visitors to their 15 retail store locations can enter to win a trip with Intrepid, a recently redesigned Allpa travel pack, and Cotopaxi travel gear. Throughout the campaign, Cotopaxi and Intrepid Travel will offer discounts and opportunities to experience both brands and the underlying power and impact of BCorp collaboration.
