Charm City Run Events Launches Spring Explorer Race Series

Baltimore, MD– Baltimore-based Charm City Run Events has created a new twist on the virtual race model with the launch of the Spring Explorer Race Series. The Spring Explorer Race Series is a bundle of 7 virtual races run over the course of 8 weeks with actual courses in different communities around the greater Baltimore area. Using the RunSignup platform and RaceJoy interactive phone app, participants can compete against each other on the same course whenever it’s convenient for them.

The race series offers great SWAG for participants thanks to a partnership with Nathan Sports. Series registrants have their choice of a Nathan Vista Waistpak or Vista Arm Sleeve Carrier, a $30 value and perfect for carrying a smartphone needed to utilize the RaceJoy app. Participants also receive a “Race Passport” card and sticker sheet with stickers for each race location. As each race is completed the passport can be filled in and ultimately redeemed at a local Charm City Run store for a discount.

“We are so excited to offer a unique way for people to stay active and compete against others if they wish, while also showing them parks and trails they may have never been to before” says Will Murdoch, Director of Events for Charm City Run Events. “We can’t wait to welcome folks back to in-person races, but the technology available now allows us to do amazing things and create memorable experiences for ur participants.”

The series kicks off April 1st and features races in Baltimore City, Columbia, Annapolis, Bel Air, Frederick, and Timonium, MD. Distances range from 2.4 miles to 6.6 miles, making the event accessible to runners and walkers of all abilities. Registration for the series bundle is just $50 through March 31, 2021, and $60 from April 1, 2021 to May 31, 2021; individual race registration is also available for $10 per race.
