Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Ragnar Reach the Beach in 2024

HAMPTON, New Hampshire /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Ragnar Reach the Beach, the most iconic team relay event in New England, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year with the annual event taking place September 13-24, 2024. This event is a tradition for many and is sure to be celebrated by running enthusiasts across New England.

In this event, hundreds of 12-person teams will run approximately 200 miles, starting at Attitash Mountain ski resort and ending at the Atlantic Ocean at Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. Participants will run day and night and day, in a relay format, while those that don’t run travel the course in team vans while recovering and waiting their turn to be on the road. Hundreds of teams are expected to take part in the event.

“We were so excited to bring Reach the Beach to New Hampshire for its first running in 1999 and are thrilled to experience its 25th anniversary this year,” said Mike Dionne, co-founder of Reach the Beach. “Tens of thousands of runners have experienced the thrill of running from the mountains to the beach and many of them come back every year. Reach the Beach is one of the oldest team relay events in the United States and has become a big part of the running community in New England. I am so happy to have played a role in its development and to see it become what it is today.”
