Blistering Pace Race Management Welcomes Christy Slye as Director of Experience

As in-person races resume, the event company aims to offer unparalleled racing experiences

NAPA, CALIFORNIA—Blistering Pace Race Management is thrilled to announce that Christy Slye has joined their growing staff as Director of Experience, bringing 30 years of relationship and sales management to the table.

Christy’s tenure in the running industry began 12 years ago as the Vice President of Sales at Oiselle, where she was responsible for the significant growth of domestic and international wholesale business while managing a team of independent sales representatives. In 2017, Christy moved into a Director of Sponsorship role with the Big Sur Marathon Foundation. Here, her work directly and noticeably added value, class, and merit to the nonprofit organization’s events. Christy multiplied sponsorship dollars and in-kind donations, thereby elevating the experience for all participants.

“I cannot express how thrilled I am to be working for an organization having in its portfolio the esteemed events I have enjoyed racing over the years,” said Slye. “With the return of live events and the addition of virtual options, it is an exciting time to craft new experiences for our participants with all of our wonderful partners.”

Since La Sala founded BPRM five years ago, the organization has served some of the world’s biggest and most prestigious races, including the TCS New York City Marathon, Bank of American Chicago Marathon, Big Sur International Marathon, Napa Valley Marathon, and the Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Half Marathon. From registration, marketing, and sponsorship, to operations, course design, and now virtual race concepting, BPRM handles specific areas of need or full race management.
