Registration Opens Today for 2025 Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon and 2026 Louisiana Marathon

BATON ROUGE, LA (March 17, 2025) – FRESHJUNKIE Racing, the Southeast leader in endurance event production, is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 10th Annual Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon and the 15th Anniversary of the Louisiana Marathon.

LAUNCH WEEK Kicks Off with Exclusive Perks.

Starting today, Monday, March 17th, and running through Monday, March 24th, runners can take advantage of the absolute lowest registration prices of the year. As an added bonus, for the those who register for the Half Marathon and Full Marathon distances at either event during LAUNCH WEEK will receive a complimentary, exclusive In-Training shirt, a perfect way to kickstart their training journey.

To celebrate the start of registration, we’ll be popping up at various Run Clubs and locations across the region throughout LAUNCH WEEK, from Monday, March 17th to Thursday, March 20th. Experience the Magic of Two Iconic Races

The Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon, a Coastal Running Fest, celebrates its 10th year with a scenic beachside course from Pass Christian to Biloxi. Founded in 2016, this event offers a unique blend of running and coastal culture. Runners are invited to “Cross the Coast Line” and experience the beauty of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

The Louisiana Marathon, known for its “lagniappe” (a little something extra), marks its 15th anniversary with exciting enhancements. This vibrant event invites runners of all abilities to “Start Starting” through the heart of Louisiana’s capital city. The 2024 race generated an impressive $8 million in economic impact for Baton Rouge, highlighting its significance to the community.

Race Weekend Highlights

Both weekends feature a variety of races to suit all ages and abilities:

  • Sunday: Full Marathon (26.2 miles) and Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
  • Saturday: 5K (3.1 miles), Kids Marathon (1 mile), and other exciting events.
    • Louisiana Marathon: Quarter Marathon (6.55 miles) and Diaper Dash
    • Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon: Beer Mile

For runners who complete both the Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon in December 2025 and the Louisiana Marathon in January 2026, the coveted Beach-2-Bayou medal awaits.
