London, UK (February 27, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/-  The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) has partnered with British Triathlon to deliver a 2026 European Championship standard distance triathlon qualifying race as part of its London T100 Triathlon weekend this summer (9-10 August).

Age Groupers will have the opportunity to earn the right to represent the Great Britain Age Group Team at the European Championships in 2026 by competing in the London T100 Olympic distance triathlon.

Commenting on the news, PTO CEO Sam Renouf, said:

“We’re delighted to partner with British Triathlon and give Great Britain Age Group athletes the chance to use the London T100 Triathlon event to qualify for the 2026 European Olympic Distance Triathlon Championships. Our first T100 event in London last year was a huge success, attracting almost 5,000 amateur triathletes to compete alongside 40 of the world’s best professional female and male triathletes, which led to an electric atmosphere in and around the ExCel over the weekend.”

British Triathlon CEO Ruth Daniels responded by saying:

“This is a great opportunity for our Age Group athletes to be part of this landmark T100 event in London after its successful debut last year. The atmosphere and support from a home crowd will make this a really special qualifying event that we know will inspire our Age Group athletes.”
