Ragnar and the Susan G. Komen Announce Partnership

February 25, 2025

Salt Lake City, Utah (February 25, 2025)Ragnar Events, the nation’s premier host of team-based relay races, is partnering with Susan G. Komen®, the leading breast cancer organization. Together, they’re joining forces for the Ragnar Road Northwest Passage race, taking place north of Seattle on July 11-12, 2025. Participants will have the opportunity to direct part of their registration fee to Susan G. Komen, the race’s primary charity partner,  the most trusted and respected leader in the fight against breast cancer.

Ragnar will spotlight the partnership across its website and marketing channels, while Susan G. Komen will rally its community to support the Northwest Passage race. During the event, runners can create custom “I run for…” signs to honor, celebrate, and remember those impacted by breast cancer.

Ragnar Road Northwest Passage showcases the breathtaking landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. Starting at the U.S.-Canada border in Blaine, Washington, teams take on a 200-mile relay. Along the way, they’ll be surrounded by spectacular views of the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges, Deception Pass, and Puget Sound before finishing on Whidbey Island. In 2025, the two-day adventure unfolds on July 11-12, promising epic scenery and a relay experience you won’t find anywhere else.

Susan G. Komen’s mission is to save lives by meeting critical community needs by funding breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer. Since its founding in 1982, Komen has invested nearly $3.6 billion in groundbreaking research, advocacy, community health initiatives, and support programs across more than 60 countries.

“Road Northwest Passage is one of our most popular events every single year. This area has embraced Ragnar, and we love bringing our relay format here every July,” said Ragnar Race Director, Marshall Miller. “We are especially pleased to partner with the Susan G. Komen, a globally admired organization for the work they do as they lead the fight against breast cancer.”

“We are thrilled that Ragnar is partnering with us for this event,” said Komen Executive Director Jenifer Weiss. “Every 2 minutes, a woman in the U.S. is diagnosed with breast cancer, so the need is always great to support patients – including right in this community. In fact, during the last fiscal year, the Komen Financial Assistance Program provided $418,250 to 726 breast cancer patients specifically in the Pacific Northwest.”
