Partnership brings together two of triathlon's iconic brands at IRONMAN's hallmark event in Kona
Chattanooga, TN /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/— Quintana Roo, a global leader in triathlon bikes, announces a partnership naming Quintana Roo as an official partner of the 2024 VinFast IRONMAN World Championship – Kona, being held Oct. 26th in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
The partnership brings together two iconic brands with a long history in triathlon. IRONMAN, which first began with 15 competitors in 1978 in Oahu, has grown to a series of 150+ events globally, inspiring tens of thousands of athletes every year to achieve beyond what even they thought possible.
Quintana Roo has been at the forefront of the triathlon industry since developing the first bicycle designed for triathlon in 1989. Their wide range of aerodynamic, practical triathlon bikes have helped thousands realize the dream of becoming an IRONMAN.
For decades, the VinFast IRONMAN World Championships in Kona has been—and remains—a centerpiece achievement for triathletes. The partnership at this year’s men’s race allows Quintana Roo—one of the earliest and most influential bike manufacturers in the triathlon space—to support triathletes alongside IRONMAN at this cornerstone event, where finishing is considered by many to be the ultimate achievement in the sport.
“IRONMAN is truly a transformational event in people’s lives,” says American Bicycle Group and Quintana Roo President Chris Pascaralla. “We truly understand how special this event is to triathletes, and we want to provide the best tools to achieve their goals. We really are motivated by IRONMAN’s overarching message that ‘Anything is Possible,’ and are incredibly excited to be partners at the 2024 VinFast IRONMAN World Championships – Kona.”
Quintana Roo will be present in Kona supporting hundreds of age group triathletes ahead of the race, and will have on display within the IRONMAN Village expo its full range of triathlon bikes, including the flagship V-PRi that will be ridden by current American IRONMAN Pro Series leader Matt Hanson and rising French talent Arthur Horseau in Kona on race day, and the X-PR, a popular model delivering pro-tier treatment with exceptional fit and value.
