Mil Usos Proudly Supports Ultrarunner Don Reichelt in the Run Rabbit Run 100 Mile Endurance Run

September 12, 2024

Santa Clarita, CA (September 12, 2024) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Mil Usos sponsored athlete Don Reichelt is slated to embark in the upcoming Run Rabbit Run 100 Mile Endurance Run.

“We wish Don the best of luck on this epic 100-mile journey. His dedication, resilience and passion are such an inspiration. We’re cheering him along every step of the way!” shares Mil Usos Founder Becky Williams. “Don’s an outstanding athlete who routinely spends long days on the trail. He uses our products and provides a valuable perspective on our performance-driven skincare innovations.”

“Trail running and ultra running tend to demand a lot of your skin. Long days in the sun. Lots of sweat and salt build up. And let’s not ignore running through overgrown trails leads to scrapes and cuts on the legs. Oh, and the falls. There are definitely falls,” explained 2023 USA 24-hour National Champion Don Reichelt.

“While I can’t avoid all of those things, what I can do is treat my skin and keep it healthy before and after my runs. I wash up with Char Goals as soon as I get home, and keep my skin conditioned with Total Cranarchy. I’ve found the balm really helps my legs heal more quickly from all those trail cuts and scrapes, and also conditions the skin for the next round of abuse.

Also, a bonus – Total Cranarchy keeps my tattoos looking fresh too. Nothing to do with running but if I look good, I run better 🙂 .”

The Run Rabbit Run 100 Mile Endurance Run begins on Friday, September 13th, at the Steamboat Spring ski area (elevation 6,900 ft), encompasses Buffalo Pass (elevation 10,300 ft) and Emerald Mountain.

Reichelt lists 144.6 miles as his 24-hour best and has a 13:16 100 Mile Trail PR. He is also the three-time Manual Treadmill World Record Holder for Furthest Distance run in 12 hours, Fastest 100 Mile and Furthest Distance run in 24 hours. The Fairplay, CO-based Reichelt has placed in many distance running events including Coldwater Rumble 52-mile first place in 2022, Salt Flats 50K first place in 2021, Tunnel Hill 100 third place in 2020, Coldwater Rumble 20-mile first place in 2020, Lean Horse 100 first place in 2019 and Badwater 135 third place in 2018.

Mil Usos creates ultra-adaptable skincare products designed specifically to suit the needs of athletes and active lifestyles. Mil Usos is Spanish for “one thousand uses.” It also means “a handyman” – someone who can fix everything. Mil Usos Skincare was created to be the handyman that’ll take care of all skincare needs with as few products as possible.

Mil Usos LLC is a female-founded skincare line focused on delivering elevated skincare for athletes and adventure seekers. Founder and jiu jitsu athlete, Becky Williams, recognized the need for effective, minimal skincare that was easy to transport to the gym, addressed “sweat acne” and other concerns arising from high contact sports.

Williams leaned into creating fragrance-free, gender-neutral, and environmentally friendly skincare products when she couldn’t find what she wanted online or in stores. Mil Usos’ products are easy to use, portable, and gentle. Mil Usos’ proprietary formulas are safe, innovative, and highly effective. Using fewer products simplifies our users’ lives and reduces their impact on the planet.

The cleansing bar and moisture balm are Made-in-USA, pH balanced, free of fragrances, essential oils, sulfates, parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, silicones, and preservatives.

“We’re using quality ingredients for elevated skincare on-the-go. It was made specifically to suit the needs of athletes and dial in the gear of outdoor enthusiasts and travelers,” shares Mil Usos Founder, Becky Williams. “Our customers can feel good about using our products – for many reasons.”

Williams’ athletic journey began at the age of seven with her first ballet class. As she grew older, she expanded her passion for movement by teaching pole dance classes at a boutique studio before relocating to Peru. There, in the heart of the Andes Mountains, Becky embraced a minimalist lifestyle, living in a simple adobe brick home without indoor plumbing, internet, or nearby grocery stores. Her days were spent outdoors, engaged in physical labor, leading backpacking excursions, and managing the community-based tour company she founded. She traveled halfway around the world to study yoga at an ashram in Lonavala, India, just before embarking on her jiu jitsu journey in late 2014. Today, she holds a purple belt in jiu jitsu and regularly switches between fighting and dance.

Williams noticed that each athletic pursuit took a unique toll on the skin. Jiu jitsu increased skin infection exposure, so the microbiome needed to be bolstered without harsh cleansers and irritating essential oils. Running often led to chafing and blisters. Extended hiking trips resulted in sunburn and bug bites. Swimming needed extra cushiony moisture. Pole dancing needed alternative methods to soften skin that wouldn’t create slippage on the apparatus.

Her lifestyle also involved frequent travel, whether for races, competitions, training sessions, immersive camps, or adventure trips, often far from home. Even the transition from gym to work demanded a straightforward, high-quality personal care routine that could keep up with her active schedule.

Because Wiliams trained so hard in so many different athletic pursuits, she expected her personal care products to work just as hard. When she couldn’t find what she wanted on a shelf or online, she started a new adventure – developing her own line of multi-purpose skincare products:

The Char Goals Everything Bar Cleanser is designed to be the only cleansing product needed from scalp to toes – hair, face, and body. The one-and-done formula replaces face cleanser, makeup remover, body wash, shampoo, soap and shaving cream. It’s even safe for color-treated, damaged and fragile hair.

The Total Cranarchy Multi-Use Balm is a one-and-done formula that replaces facial moisturizers, body lotion, hand and foot cream, small wound care, anti-chafe sticks, scalp oil, lip balm and deodorant. The non-comedogenic 5-in-1 moisturizer is great for athletes, adventure seekers, travelers, and it is suitable for all skin types. Use Total Cranarchy Multi-Use Balm to soothe sunburn, windburn, heat rash, and bug bites. Deeply repair and rejuvenate skin while eliminating breakouts caused by excessive sweating.

The Scuff Love Silk Exfoliating Glove for the face and body is a 3-in-1 exfoliator, suitable for all skin types. It’s soft enough for the face but tough enough for elbows, knees and calluses. Use prevents ingrown hairs and provides a smoother shave.

The Mil Usos Heavy Lifting Bundle Deal ($82 USD) includes the Char Goals Everything Bar Cleanser ($26 USD), Total Cranarchy Multi-Use Balm ($46 USD) and Scuff Love Silk Exfoliating Glove ($19) at Mil Usos Skincare.
