A new adventure in the heart of Africa

Arusha, Tanzania (July 11, 2024) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Red Knot Racing Company announces the launch of TRAVERSE Tanzania, an extraordinary 5-day adventure race set to take participants through the stunning and rugged backcountry of northern Tanzania, from the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro to the shores of Lake Natron. This announcement marks an exciting new event brought to you by the creators of the K2N MTB stage race.

“TRAVERSE is to experience a truly untamed Africa,” said Brett Harrison, Red Knot owner. “We’ve taken everything our participants loved about the K2N mountain bike race and expanded it, offering new disciplines and a broader adventure that will appeal to gravel riders and trail runners as well.”

TRAVERSE Tanzania is designed to cater to a wide range of athletes, with three distinct races:

• TRAVERSE GRVL, 21-28 May 2025
• TRAVERSE MTB, 31 May – 7 June 2025
• TRAVERSE RUN, 10 – 17 June 2025

TRAVERSE offers a unique opportunity for runners and cyclists to experience the raw beauty of northern Tanzania’s diverse landscapes. Participants will encounter spectacular scenery, varied terrain, and extraordinary wildlife viewing, all while immersing themselves in the rich culture of Tanzania’s Maasai people.

The 5-day adventure is part of a larger, all-inclusive 8-day experience. Participants are provided with airport pickup and drop-off, accommodation, all meals and drinks, logistics, park fees, and medical services.
