Italian producer of premium balsamic vinegar of Modena expands Series’ international partnerships
(Gettysburg, PA – May, 2024) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Gran Fondo National Series today announced that Monari Federzoni has signed on as a Series sponsor for 2024 and 2025. Age group winners at six annual Series-owned events will take home bottles of Monari Federzoni “Passion of Family” high-density Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. Additionally, all participants are eligible to win Monari Federzoni products in race-day raffles.
“The partnership with Monari Federzoni is another example of the international appeal of Gran Fondo National Series,” said Series Founder and Event Director, Reuben Kline. “International brands like SUAREZ, Garda Bike Hotel, inGamba Luxury Tours and Andiamo Cycling recognize the value of introducing their brands to US consumers through partnerships with Gran Fondo National Series.”
“At Monari Federzoni we share a longstanding friendship with Garda Bike Hotel. Partnering with Gran Fondo National Series has yielded results for them over many years, and we believe sponsoring the Series will be a good way to get our products into the hands of people who will appreciate the quality and craftsmanship of Monari Federzoni products,” said Vittoria Ludergnani, fifth generation of the Federzoni Family in the company.
Monari Federzoni has been producing top quality balsamic vinegar in Modena, Italy, for more than 110 years. Today, Monari Federzoni is present in over 65 countries. It is a leading brand in Italy and in the US, where the company has been operating for the last 40 years. Owned by Sabrina, Elena and Ines Federzoni, and run by Sabrina Federzoni, it is 100% women owned and run.
Winners of the Gran Fondo National Series will take home Monari Federzoni “Passion of Family”, their high-density item. Thanks to this density, the product is perfect on cheese, on a risotto or on top of a scoop of ice cream. It can also enrich any international special dishes, such as a gourmet burger or a plate of sushi.
The rose on the label hides the story of why roses are planted at the end of rows of grapes in the vineyards. Roses are excellent “sentinels”, and their bushes serve as an early warning sign of the health of the grape, as they are more susceptible to the same diseases, pests or lack of minerals. They are planted at the end of each row in Monari Federzoni vineyard.
Along with podium and raffle prizes at events, Gran Fondo National Series riders will get to sample Monari Federzoni on select foods during post ride festivities, and riders who attended the annual Gran Fondo National Series trip with Garda Bike Hotel in October will have an opportunity to visit Monari Federzoni vineyard, its aging cellar and “Balsamico & Cucina”, the new Monari Federzoni restaurant dedicated 100% to Balsamic Vinegar of Modena recipes in the oldest market of the city. The participants will have the chance to discover the hidden corners of our sites, the nature and the love for a healthy lifestyle and finish the day drinking a Lambrusco glass at the sunset.

About Monari Federzoni
Monari Federzoni is a Balsamic Vinegar company born in Modena in 1912, when Elena Monari, wife of Oreste Federzoni, running a grocery shop with an “osteria” in the city center, realized the popularity of their balsamic vinegar and requested and obtained the first license to sell it. Throughout the years, it has grown till becoming the third worldwide company in the category.
In the middle of the countryside of Modena, the company sustainably grows over 250 acres of vineyards of Lambrusco, Ancellotta, Trebbiano and Albana grapes, whose blend is used for the cooked grape must in their products. Furthermore, Monari Federzoni has the biggest aging area for Balsamic Vinegar of Modena in the world, with over 5,000 oak barrels, in which their aged balsamic vinegars rest for a minimum of three years.
In 2022 they opened in the oldest market of Modena, Mercato Albinelli, their first restaurant “Balsamico & Cucina”, where chef Italo – Japanese Shota Mitamura prepares traditional and innovative recipes, pairing each of them with balsamic vinegars. The company can cover the whole process: from the vineyard to the plate.
