Mascot Sports Names Mack Chew as President Amid Rapid Company Growth

/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Mascot Sports announced several leadership promotions, including Mack Chew to President and Fletcher Beggs to Vice President of Production. Meghan Burk was promoted to Vice President of Operations and Toby Duffin to Director of Partnerships.

  • As Director of Operations at Project Sport in 2012 and RaceForce, via acquisition in 2014, Chew founded The Town’s Half Marathon in Oakland, Livermore Valley Half Marathon and managed a dozen others, before returning to his trained profession in landscape architecture. In 2021, Chew joined the reassembled Project Sport team, under the Mascot Sports brand, to launch the Bay Bridge Half Marathon, Marin Endurance Festival and Diplo’s Run Club. In his new role, Chew will oversee all production, operational and financial aspects of Mascot’s in-house and client events.

“Chew has been a key partner in my companies for nearly 20 years, from our cycling team in 2004, to US Half Marathon and Project Sport, he has been the primary driver of our ability to create such amazing experiences,” said Ryan Dawkins, CEO, Mascot Sports. “We are in a unique position to continue our growth and utilizing Chew’s experience and aptitude is our roadmap to success.”

  • Replacing Chew as the Vice President of Production, Beggs is responsible for all government and technical aspects of Mascot Sports events. He has been a part of the evolution since the beginning, as the very first Project Sport employee, helping expand our US Half Marathon series to 6 cities and was instrumental in growing our cycling business and client events.
  • Burk joined Mascot in 2021, overseeing marketing and staffing. Since being promoted to her role in 2024, Burk has restructured our management function and streamlined our processes inside our partnership and marketing teams.
  • Duffin, former executive at Nestle, joins Mascot as the Director of Partnerships.
