Over 5,000 participants took part in the bewitching 2023 Old Point National Bank Wicked Weekend in Virginia Beach.

OCTOBER 30, 2023 – VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Over 5,000 participants Halloween hustled their way through the Virginia Beach Oceanfront during the Old Point National Bank Wicked 10K and 5K presented by Bon Secours. They were greeted along the way with Thriller Dancers, Zombies and treats at every mile. Ghosts, goblins, and ghouls flew up and down Atlantic Avenue before turning on the boardwalk in costume for a perfect spooktacular photo finish. The party continued as the finishers made their way on to the beach for a monster mash party with beer from New Belgium VooDoo Ranger, Coastal Cocktails, Liquid Death, warm tomato and cheese soup and an energetic music performance from the Mashup.

John Walker, of Daphne, AL, won the Wicked 10K with a finish time of 33:38. The winner of the 10K on the women’s side was Tiffany Sloan of Virginia Beach, VA. She broke the tape at 38:43.

Ricky Shackelford of Virginia Beach, VA, won the Wicked 5K with a finish time of 17:26. The 5K female winner, Karina Conrad of Fairfax, VA finished at 20:02.
