Diplo, Chace Crawford, Trixie Mattel & More to Participate In Malibu Triathlon to Raise Funds for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles

The Celebrity Division race returns on Sunday, Oct. 1 at Zuma Beach

MALIBU, Calif. – Sept. 27, 2023/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The Malibu Triathlon, presented by Super League Triathlon, announced the star-studded lineup for its Celebrity Division race that will take place on Sunday, Oct. 1 at Zuma Beach.

Diplo, Chace Crawford, Trixie Mattel, Daniela Ruah, Jesse Metcalfe, Timothy Olyphant, Ben Higgins, ChefRush and more will test their fitness in the 38th annual swim-bike-run race as they raise critical funds for the Pediatric Cancer Research Program at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The Malibu Triathlon Celebrity Division race consists of a 0.5 mile swim, 9.6-mile adjusted bike ride and 4-mile run.

“We’re so excited for this year’s Celebrity Division participants to compete in the ultimate physical fitness test,” said Malibu Triathlon race director Brennan Lindner. “We’re grateful to each and every one of them, as well as the Malibu community in hosting and supporting this event, for joining us to raise funds for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.”

The Malibu Triathlon, the most successful fundraising triathlon in the world and a local institution in the Malibu community, has raised more than $18 million for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles since 2007, resulting in the development of life-saving treatments that are helping children around the world in their fight against cancer. This year, the Malibu Triathlon has already raised $1 million in donations. The acclaimed race welcomes triathlon enthusiasts, international athletes, celebrities and Fortune 500 companies all competing to raise money for the cause.

Prior to the Celebrity Division race, the Super League Triathlon Championship Series race will take place Saturday, Sept. 30. The world’s premier swim-bike-run series, Super League Triathlon’s innovative racing format provides a fast, dynamic and exhilarating show for spectators. The globally broadcast race will feature some of the world’s best athletes and Olympic medalists who will compete in the unique Eliminator format, with three rounds of fast swim, bike and run action that sees the athletes towards the back cut from the race after each Stage.

    • Super League Triathlon Championship Series
      • Eliminator format. 3 x 300m swim, 4.6km bike, 1km run
    • Individual, Corporate Challenge and Relay Olympic Distance Triathlon
      • 1.5 km swim, 20.8km adjusted bike, 10km run
  • Sunday, Oct. 1, 7 a.m. PT
    • Celebrity Division Classic Distance Triathlon
      • 0.5 mi swim, 9.6 mi adjusted bike, 4 mi run
    • Individual, Corporate Challenge and Relay Classic Distance Triathlon
      • 0.5 mi swim, 9.6 mi adjusted bike, 4 mi run
