Pumpkin Spice Half celebrates seven years of fall fun in Fort Worth
November 3, 2022
Locally owned, hometown event brings runners, walkers, pumpkin spice lovers together for coffee, pie, and miles ahead of holiday season
FORT WORTH, Texas /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Running season and pumpkin spice season pair perfectly at the Pumpkin Spice Half Marathon, 10K and 5K, which will return to the streets of Fort Worth on Nov. 19. The event is a part of Run Project, Texas’ premier race series, and over 2500 runners are expected to turn out for the seventh edition of the run supporting Fort Worth-based nonprofit, Hands of Hope. Registration is open for all distances at RunProject.org.
Run Project has pumped the event full of fall tastes and treats. Participants will receive shirts and medals with local, flavorful imagery including cowboy boots, longhorns, and pumpkin spice ingredients. Bites and brews await at the post-race celebration with Yuengling Hershey’s Chocolate Porter Beer for those over the age of 21, a Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest, and pumpkin spice treats from local businesses including Mindy Lou Pies, Melt Ice Cream, and Brewed Coffee.
“Events like the Pumpkin Spice run offers us a chance to come together as a community before the holiday hustle begins,” said Run Project Owner and Fort Worth native Tanna Wood. “Whether you’re a serious athlete or walking your first 5K, we’re looking forward to welcoming you to our city, introducing you to the amazing local partners that make it so unique, and, of course, making sure you get your fall-flavor fix with all things pumpkin spice!”
Participants will begin at the Panther Island Pavilion, head out on the Trinity Trail beside the Trinity River, and pass some of Fort Worth’s iconic landmarks. Runners will return to the Pavilion to cross the finish line and take part in the pumpkin-packed afterparty.
The Pumpkin Spice Half, 10K & 5K is sponsored by Citra Urgent Care, Brewed, Spenga South Fort Worth, Dazywood Group, Celsius, Southern Recipe Small Batch, Yuengling, Dallas and Fort Worth Running Company, Melt Ice Cream, Dannon Yogurt, State Farm, Pather Island Pavilion, Half Fantastics, and Racing Systems.
