Summit Coffee to be Presenting Sponsor of Grand Prix Series
ATLANTA – August 4, 2022/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Caffeinated runners and walkers rejoice! Atlanta Track Club today announced Summit Coffee as the presenting sponsor of the Club’s Grand Prix Series. The partnership kicks off immediately with this Saturday’s Decatur DeKalb 4 Miler presented by Audi Atlanta. Summit will be on site, serving complimentary coffee to the nearly 2,000 participants and volunteers.
As part of the multi-year partnership, Summit Coffee will pour its sustainably sourced, organic coffee at all events in the Grand Prix Series presented by Summit Coffee. Those events are free to Atlanta Track Club members and take place across the Atlanta metro-area throughout the year. Summit Coffee will also be at select paid Atlanta Track Club events.
Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Summit Coffee is opening its first store in the Atlanta market in Roswell this fall. A second location will be announced soon with plans to open at least five cafes in the area by the end of 2024. As part of its new partnership with Atlanta Track Club, Summit Coffee plans to host group runs and meetups from its local cafes.
“We’re grateful for this opportunity to partner with Atlanta Track Club,” said Brian Helfrich, runner and CEO of Summit Coffee. “Entering the Atlanta market, we quickly assessed that the Club was the optimal partner to connect with the greater Atlanta area, and future Summit Coffee customers. We’re a brand built by runners, supported by runners for 20+ years, and we cannot wait to meet more runners in our newest market.”
Founded near the running trails in Davidson, North Carolina, Summit has long partnered with athletes and brands in the outdoor sports industry. It currently sponsors ultramarathon runners Courtney Dauwalter and Ryan Montgomery as well as mountaineer Phil Henderson. Summit is also the official coffee partner of Vacation Races.
“Atlanta Track Club has a lot in common with our new partners at Summit,” said Rich Kenah, CEO of Atlanta Track Club. “Besides an appreciation for a good cup of coffee, we share a vision for more sustainable, environmentally-friendly events and most importantly, we both believe in the power of running and walking to change lives for the better.”
After the Decatur DeKalb 4 Miler presented Audi Atlanta, Summit Coffee will be at the Singleton 20K Relay and Grand Prix Series Finale on December 3.
