In Addition to In-Person Races, Virtual Option Now Available for 2022 DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend of Events

To earn their medal, virtual runners can complete their distance anytime and anywhere that works best for them

PITTSBURGH, PA (/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – P3R has announced that a virtual option has been added for the 2022 DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend of Events, scheduled for April 29-May 1. Participants who are unable to attend the in-person event have requested the option to participate virtually, and now they can do so for any of the seven race weekend events.

“This year we are thrilled to welcome back runners and return to an in-person event but know there’s lot of reasons why people may not be able to join us in Pittsburgh this time,” said Troy Schooley, P3R CEO. “Runners from all over the world have asked us to give them an option to join us virtually, and we are happy to offer a flexible option for those runners to MOVE with us and earn their medal this year.”

Virtual participants can complete their distance anytime and anywhere that works best for them. They will be mailed a participant shirt, race bib and medal.

Attracting nearly 40,000 runners annually, the DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend of Events is Pittsburgh’s largest sporting event.
