March 9, 2022
MARCH 9, 2022 | LOS ANGELES, CALIF. /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Bikerumor, a Lola Digital Media publication, is proud to announce new editorial leadership with the promotion of Zach Overholt to Editor in Chief (EIC).
Overholt replaces Tyler Benedict, who founded Bikerumor in 2008. The publication covers the cutting-edge of bike products, news, and trends in the sport.
Today, Bikerumor has millions of readers and is one of the world’s largest cycling sites. Overholt joined in 2010 as Bikerumor’s first hire and has been a key player in the site’s growth while serving in various editorial roles.
“As a founder, it’s sometimes hard to know when to get out of the way and let your team thrive,” said Benedict, who will remain with Bikerumor under the Founding Editor title. “Zach has shown he has the skills and vision to lead Bikerumor to be bigger and better than ever.”
Overholt is charged with bringing Bikerumor to a next level via multiple new initiatives. His team, along with sister sites like GearJunkie and iRunFar in Lola’s AllGear network, are launching new content formats for expanded reach.
“I’m honored to lead Bikerumor into 2022. The site has been a daily part of my life, even before I was first hired,” Overholt said. “Our team is positioned to grow the site’s audience with new concepts, more gear reviews, bigger and better buyer’s guides, more original reporting, and all the great content Bikerumor is already known for.”
