Sasquatch Racing Presents Their Biggest Virtual Running Adventure Ever: The Rock the Loch Challenge

May 7, 2021

San Francisco, CA (May 7, 2021) – Sasquatch Racing, the production company behind The Sasquatch Scramble, The Rattlesnake Ramble, and The Krampus Cross Country 5K/10K (& Brewfest) is rolling out its biggest virtual running adventure yet on May 10, 2021 with the Rock the Loch Challenge.

Unlike a conventional challenge where athletes have a single course map spanning hundreds of miles, this challenge includes 10-15 courses to explore! Rock the first loch and participants will unlock the next one and so forth until all the lochs are completed. Athletes that complete all the challenges will log more than 300 miles over the course of the virtual adventure.

“A year ago, we had no choice but to pivot into the virtual event space. We ventured into these uncharted waters with the ‘No Stress, Loch Ness Virtual 5K/10K/Half’ and it’s fair to say that Nessie helped keep us afloat,” says Sasquatch Racing race director Matt Forsman. “We’re bringing everyone’s favorite aquatic cryptid (aka-Nessie) back in a big way in 2021 with a new challenge that is as much an adventure as it is a running event.”

The Rock the Loch experience includes a very interactive story (think “Choose Your Own Adventure”) in which you virtually explore the legend of the Loch Ness monster as well as other mythical water creatures that inhabit the lochs such as Ogopogo, Nahuelito, Champ, Normie, and more.

All adventure participants receive a comfortable, lifestyle-friendly cotton tee and an amazing woodallion from Aravaipa Artworx. Additionally, there will be a private FB group, Zoom happy hours, and weekly email newsletters to keep participants motivated, active, and entertained.

The adventure begins on May 10, 2021 and registration is open now.
