New Venue, New Name for Spring 2021 Half Marathon

December 18, 2020

May 8, 2021 new race will run in southcentral Wisconsin

The Kings and Queens Half Marathon is getting a new venue and a new name. Since 2015 Pewaukee, WI has played host to the Mother’s Day Race. After acquiring the event in 2019 from Lighthouse Events and having a virtual event in 2020, Race Day Events decided the race deserved a fresh start. New in 2021, the event will be held in Oconomowoc and has been renamed the BeYOUtiful Half Marathon. The course promises to offer sights of Lac La Belle and Lake Fowler as runners take a tour of the beautiful homes and neighborhoods of Oconomowoc and the surrounding area. Race Day Events celebrates not just mothers, but all women and men who support moms and encouraging everyone to be the most BeYOUtiful version of who they are. According to Rickey Chernik, Race Director, “We wanted to give the race a new fresh start this year after having to go virtual in 2020. We wanted to create an event were everyone could come out and just BE YOU.”

BeYOUtiful Half Marathon will also offer a 5K option. These events will be women focused and welcomes everyone. Men, women, and families are encouraged to come celebrate Mother’s Day with a fun and safe run. Participants will receive a finisher medal, participant t-shirt, a stemless wine glass, as well as a rose to celebrate the day. The 2 events will take place simultaneously so everyone can celebrate their achievements and mom when they are done. Registration opens today.
