ADP Corporate 5K Brings Race Day To Your Home Office

July 27, 2020 – VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA – J&A Racing looks forward to bringing the ADP Corporate 5K presented by Bon Secours to your home office this Fall. Following current corporate culture, the event is shifting from an in-person event to a virtual event. In response to the ongoing public health concerns brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, this shift allows the ADP Corporate 5K to be accessible to all companies and participants. Embracing the race’s mantra, “Run Now Work Later”, participants can now do both of these from the safety of their home.
“While we hoped to host everyone this year, our highest priority will always be the health and safety of our participants, volunteers, spectators, community, and staff,” said Jerry Frostick, J&A Racing co-owner. “The decision to shift to an at-home edition was made after working tirelessly with our state and local government, health officials, and race partners to explore all possibilities to host a safe event that includes the celebration we love. We will miss the in-person moments to celebrate companies and teams, but we are committed to being with them every step of the way. Connecting with our community, setting goals, and prioritizing both mental and physical health now matters now more than ever.”
In addition to the virtual 5K, the ADP Corporate 5K includes a five week build up to race days. Companies that create a team for the employees will have access to health and wellness benefits that include: 5K training plans, weekly virtual yoga with Studio Bamboo, a private Facebook group filled with weekly tips and motivation, and much more.
“With so many of our participants working from home, our mission to get employees moving is more important than ever. We look forward to bringing both physical and mental health benefits to companies and employees from the safety of their home office in the weeks leading up to the ADP Corporate 5K,” said Amy Frostick, J&A Racing co-owner.
The ADP Corporate 5K at-home edition allows companies and coworkers a way to connect virtually beyond video meetings, online messages, and emails. Registration is still open for companies looking to motivate and inspire healthy habits among employees and coworkers. All participants will receive a finisher medal, race bib, technical race shirt, and an exclusive J&A Racing Buff (face covering). Packets will be mailed to all participants at the end of August.
