Join EnMOTIVE/imATHLETE In Asking Congress for Relief for The Endurance Industry

Over 300 companies have already joined the Endurance Sports Coalition.

April 3, 2020 (Chicago, IL) – The last few weeks have brought unprecedented challenges to our industry.  The rapid onset of COVID-19 has forced the immediate cancellation and postponement of every endurance event in the next few months, with more to follow.

Revenue in the industry has dropped by 80-90%, practically overnight.  As we do our part to help flatten the curve, the realities of the economic impact to our industry can’t be overlooked.  We do not know when we’ll be able to resume our large public gatherings.

EnMotive/imATHLETE along with Spartan Race, Running USA, IRONMAN, Tough Mudder, Rock & Roll Marathon Series, USA Triathlon and USA Cycling have joined together to create the first ever Endurance Sports Coalition (https://join.edurancesportscoalition.org).  Together we’re aiming to speak to Congress with one singular voice to ask for continued support above and beyond the current stimulus legislation.

The ask is simple:  we need you to join in and support the cause at https://join.endurancesportscoalition.org

The broader our coalition, the better chance we have of being heard.

By adding your event/organization to the Coalition, you are ensuring that you will receive the latest updates on our efforts and actions.  We also encourage you to share this message and invite industry partners, vendors, colleagues and others.

Over the coming days we’ll be launching a call-to-action for athletes and will be asking our partners to mobilize all of their participants to sign the petition and reach out to their elected officials.  This will be coupled with a broad media strategy and on the ground efforts on Capitol Hill.

Now is the time to come together.
