New Women’s 5K added to Weekend Activities

Cape May, NJ (January 29th, 2020) – Having sold out in 5 days, the 3^rdAnnual Hand & Stone Women’s Philadelphia Triathlon is adding more excitement and opportunity to race weekend, July 11-12, 2020.

For 2020, the Hand & Stone WPT is adding a women’s 5K race, to be run Sunday morning July 12^th, starting at 7:15AM.  The 5K course is similar to the run course of the WPT, traversing West Fairmount Park, past the Please Touch Museum and through Philadelphia’s famous Horticulture Center, home of the Japanese Gardens and Centennial Arboretum.

“It is a hallmark of DelMoSports events to add something new each year and provide more opportunities for people to participate.” Said Stephen Del Monte, CEO/Founder of DelMoSports.  “Adding the 5K was a natural next step for what has become one of Philly’s most popular women’s events.  So even if the pool swim is not for you, lace up your sneakers and come out for a run. The camaraderie of the weekend is infectious. You don’t want to miss it.”

Registration for the 5K opens February 19 at 6AM EST.  The 5K will be capped at 1,000 participants.
