49ers Legends Kickoff 49IN49 Virtual Fitness Challenge benefitting the Golden Heart Fund

(Santa Clara, CA)  Today kicks off day one of the 49IN49 Virtual Fitness Challenge, running from September 20 – November 8, 2020. The global community of 49ers Faithful of all ages, abilities and fitness levels are invited to join some of the greatest 49ers Legends of all time to complete 49 miles of running, walking, or rolling their way to a healthier lifestyle over the next 49 days, all benefitting the Golden Heart Fund.

The Golden Heart Fund (TGHF) has reimagined their annual fitness challenge for 2020, emphasizing health and wellness while also raising funds and bringing awareness to their mission to provide a lifeline to 49ers Alumni in need of medical, psychological, emotional or fiscal support.

Co-Commissioners for 49IN49 are Steve Young and Jerry Rice. They are joined by Team Captains Roger Craig, Eddie DeBartolo Jr., Brent Jones, Ronnie Lott, Joe Montana, Jesse Sapolu, and Patrick Willis and Play-by-Play Announcer Dennis Brown. Together, represent the greatest lineup in the history of the NFL. With a combined 30 Super Bowl Championship rings, 55 Pro-Bowl appearances, 5 Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinements and 1,000s of points scored, tackles recorded and jerseys cherished by fans, the opportunity for personalized interactions with these legends is priceless. Get to know the 49ers Legends! Participants will receive interactive videos from their team captains and commissioners weekly to keep them motivated. There will be virtual meet-ups, incentives, contests and prizes – including signed items, social media shout outs, and unique 49IN49 giveaways. There are two ways to register – GOLD RUSHERS ($149) receive their choice of team Captain plus a bonus giveaway. RED RUNNERS ($49) will be placed on a team. Regardless of level, every participant will receive:
