The Crim Fitness Foundation Unveils Exciting Updates for The 46th Hap Crim Festival of Races
FLINT, MI /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Today, at a press conference held at Crim Plaza, the Crim released a host of updates and advancements planned for the 46th HAP Crim Festival of Races. The annual event, renowned for its spirit of community and health promotion, is poised for another groundbreaking year.
Crim CEO, Lauren Holaly-Zembo, also introduced the “Road to 50” plan, an exciting path leading to Crim’s 50th anniversary in 2027 filled with new activities and unique medal collections.
A highlight of the event was the unveiling of the five-year medal design plan. Each year leading up to Crim50, participants will receive a throwback medal representing a decade of Crim’s history. For Crim50, runners will receive a special-edition medal that combines with the previous years’ medals, creating a one-of-a-kind commemorative piece.
In another exciting reveal, this year’s race shirt design was also showcased. The shirt features a winning design from a community artist, Jeff Rice, and is expected to be worn with pride by nearly 10,000 Crim Race participants.
Also announced was the new Crim Ten-Mile Title Sponsor. This prestigious sponsorship, held for decades by one sponsor, now belongs to Consumers Energy. Brandon Morgan, Director of External Relations, said, “We are beyond grateful to have a growing partnership with Consumers who has been a longtime Crim supporter. Consumers, apart from supporting our Crim VIP events and sponsoring our Start Line, will now be behind thousands of ten-mile participants.”
Crim’s Director of Events and Training, Kenny Krell, along with Associate Director, Liz Jones, revealed several enhancements to the race experience. Highlights include a return to the pre-pandemic “mass start”, improvements to the start and finish areas, and for elite athletes, a prize of $2,500 will be awarded to any man or woman breaking the course record, an incentive not seen since 2015.
“We hope that over the next four years, you’ll join Crim on the Road to 50!” encouraged Crim’s CEO, Lauren Holaly-Zembo, expressing her excitement for the future of the HAP Crim Festival of Races. With a forward-looking mindset, a commitment to community health, and an array of new additions and enhancements, the 46th HAP Crim Festival of Races is set to be a remarkable event.
